The first stage of the "Support for cooperation and development" project under the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Interreg V-A Greece - Bulgaria 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, has ended.

An online platform has been created containing a database, surveys, analysis and detailed information about entrepreneurs and start-ups in the cross-border region.

The main objective is to solve the main challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the area, to strengthen the factors affecting entrepreneurial success, to stimulate the survival of businesses and to promote an entrepreneurial culture, including the creation of new businesses and the launch of new companies (start-ups) . The information provided through the online platform is focused on the priority sectors: Agri-food industry, Waste management for recycling or energy, Renewable energy and energy saving, Sustainable tourism, Health, Materials technology, Textile industry.

Main highlight of the platform:

Difficulties in obtaining business financing;

Entrepreneurs' access to business know-how and

Providing entrepreneurs with access to general information, contact links to various institutions;

Provision of information about the legislative framework in Bulgaria aimed at entrepreneurs and start-up businesses;

Support services for the development of competitive products-services;

Access to cost-saving technology know-how;

Providing knowledge to improve human resource development and teamwork.

A special section has been built in the platform to connect companies with potential partners from Bulgaria and Greece, helping to start a sustainable new business by new entrepreneurs and in which each company has the opportunity to present its activity.
